Began sanding the outside surface of the lower cowl (I had spread epoxy on much of the outside surface when coating the inside surface). Still more sanding necessary, then will probably try mixing microballons again and apply that. Dry sanded; it seems to cut better and I used the Makita orbital sander for most of it, which has a vacuum.
