Re-sanded the outside surface of the upper cowl, since I noticed while sealing the inside surfaces that in spite of what I thought was a good sanding before, there were a few small areas where the 2nd epoxy seal didn't attach...no "tooth" to grab onto.
That done, I mixed batches of WEST epoxy using 206 Slow Hardener and 207 Transparent with microballoons in a first attempt to get an even, fair surface on the outside of the upper cowl. Started with it somewhat overly thick, so in subsequent batches I used less microballoons and that worked better, The last batch was for the air inlet, an upside-down surface, so I made that heavy and glopped it on as the photos show.
