Riveted the ELT support bracket into the side fuse, just aft of baggage compartment. Put lithium (10-year) batteries in beeper and remote unit.
Looking to mount the antenna, I decided the top skin over this area would be good, so I dusted that off, removed the blue plastic, drilled and deburred the holes. Tomorrow, deburr the skin edge. Don't look forward to dimpling all those holes.
Also made a 2" diam backup plate of 0.040" Al for the antenna.
