Discovered another anomaly with the rudder horn, R-405PP. The instructions say to check fit the horn into R-709 (I believe R-709, I am out of town as I write this), to see if the horn needs to be radiused to fit. Well, you can see the beautiful radius in the horn from the factory. You can see in the next pic how perfectly in fits into R-709. I'm thinking this is another instance where the plans have not kept up with the kit, for my benefit. But the radius on the horn is on the wrong side. Pic 3 shows how it fits when it is installed correctly, which clearly doesn't fit. I sent pics to Van's, but found out my emails were all being deleted before I got them due to a mis-set filter, so need to try again.
