Brief Description:  First taxi tests

Fuel system reworked to eliminate loss of pressure: separated the fuel injection filter from its close coupling to the pump output, mounted the pump and filter independently on the frame wye under the horizontal firewall and, importantly, mounted the pump angled up so it does not retain any vapor bubbles. Removed the cheap plastic upstream filter and mounted the gascolator under the tank, Will require a dimple in the lower hatch for clearance, but there was no other choice. Remounted the fuel shutoff valve. Still need a remote shut-off for that, probably.

First run a couple weeks ago showed excess fuel pressure to +70PSI. Tried two replacement pressure regulator inserts and got the same results. Cranked the engine and lost fuel pressure gradually over a couple minutes.

This time, still got +70PSI with the factory regulator, but the improved plumbing does not allow the pressure to fall off.

Main electrical system is good.

Taxi tests completed. Brakes and nose wheel steering are good. 12 minutes. A couple accelerations to 80% throttle.
