Pull the back off the encoding altimeter to check jumpers: there are no jumpers Reset appareo for altitude source = parallel retry - altitude reads 400 feet panel altimeter at 29.92 per manual reads 505 feet this is good enough per regs ok: leave Appareo at parallel, install encoding altimeter.
