Brief Description:  Phone call to Cogsdill

This morning I place a call to Cogsdill to discuss the issue of the Burr Away not doing a very good job of deburring on the way into the hole and doing a better job of deburring on the backside.

As I suspected there is a difference in angles between the front and back blades. The front side is 38 degrees and the backside is 57 degrees. (The back side does just fine)

Cogsdill offered to make some custom blades that have 57 degree angles on the forward and backside of the blades. They suggested that I file the fwd blade down to roughly match the 57 degree angle before ordering any custom blades. (Just to prove the theory that the increased angle would be better)

They also suggested that I used a 2.5mm version as opposed to the 3/32" version. The 2.5mm will fit a #40 hole just a little tighter. I ordered it and should get it in this week.

More reports to follow in later logbook entries,
