Brief Description:  Rudder L-Brackets

Part of my goal is to make the pushrod run parallel with the ground. (Not perpendicular to the trailing edge). This keeps things looking straight and keeps the exit fairing in-line with the airflow and also from acting like a rain funnel.

This created some problems and I've spent several hours playing with some different ideas in my head.

Today I got it. I created some L brackets with slightly longer ears. I could bend the ears to match the rudder stiffener lines. (Parallel to the ground and in-line with the airflow)

Here's how I found the angle.

Looking at photo #1, you can see the red line and the black line. The redline in perpendicular to the trailing edge, but the black line is parallel to the rivet holes on the rudder stiffiners. If you look closely, you can see the ears bent slightly to the right. I bent them to the point that they match the angle of the black line.
