Brief Description:  Riveting the VS Skeleton

Today I had a chance to redeem myself with the rivet gun and squeezers.

I riveted the spar caps, doubler(s), and rudder hinge brackets to the rear spar. I riveted to front spar doubler to the front spar.

Finally I put it all together by riveting the top and middle ribs between the front and rear spars. As the directions suggested, I clecoed the lower rib in place. That way I can remove it to buck the middle rib rivets before re-installing the lower rib and bucking those.

Finally, I clecoed the skin of the VS to the skeleton. I've got a replacement skin sitting in a spare bedroom and this one has some dings in it that I'm not too proud of. I'm still undecided if I'll retire the old skin and replace it with a new one.
