Brief Description:  Inventory Completion

It's taken 7 hours, but I finally completed the inventory! I have small parts (rivets, rivets, rivets, and more rivets) in small clear plastic drawers.

I've got smaller items on some shelves in the garage. They're organized by sub-kits. Hopefully that method will work for me to find the appropriate parts.

I destroyed the large crate, but I did keep the long skinny one. I'm continuing to keep all longer parts in that crate, it does a really good job of keeping them in one place and protected. Granted I'll have to dig throug several parts to find the one I'm looking for - but it won't be that bad.

I've stored the skins inside a spare bedroom. They're all laying on the bed and I've covered them with a few pillows and a comforter. The skins for the HS are standing in a corner and the VS skin is standing there with them. The Elevator Trim skins are standing there with them too.

In the top of a closet, I've got all the fiberglass parts.

The empennage kit takes up much more room than I expected. I've had to re-arrange some things to make room for it. An uncompleted kit takes up MUCH more room than a completed kit.

As far as the inventory is concerned, I did come up one part short. It's just a very small piece of aluminum angle. I called Vans and talked to Dale (VERY COOL GUY) and is getting one sent out my direction. He also knocked out some rookie questions for me.

I'm glad it's over with. I'm still a little paranoid that I'm going to lose track of some parts and have a hard time locating them. But we're going to go with what we've got and see how it works out.

Next Step - BUILD!
