Brief Description: Match Drilling the HS-00001 Spar Doublers
The next task is a fairly new for the RV-7. It was added after an AD was issued to add reinforcement to an area that has potential to crack after some period of time. I clamped the HS-00001 spar doublers to the HS-702 spar channels. Look at view B-B. It shows you the correct placement for the doubler requires that you measure 2 1/4" from the center line of HS-702. Match-Drilling the #30 the holes inboard of the bend line shown in Vew A-A was a little confusing to figure out. The best thing I can suggest is to count the holes on the plans. The outboard holes will be drill after HS-710 & 714 are bent to 6 degrees
