Lesson learned today.....Drill the holes to the final size as you work on an assembly. I spent a few hours drilling all of the #40 holes up to the correct rivet size. It took a lot of digging to confirm each size!

Just before tearing the whole front of the fuse apart, I marked the bottom of the side skins with the bottom of the fuse for final trim. I think I will just trim 9mm down from the rivet line, but the mark will help confirm the cut.

All parts were deburred and then primed. The engine mounts where painted black with tremclad paint.

Tomorrow, I have to cut the fuse sides to size, prime it and then reassemble the whole thing and final rivet it together (except for the top longeron line which needs to be left for other parts to be added later.
