Construction begins! Since I had already built a rudder kit for fun a year ago, I was able to progress pretty quickly with the assembly of the rudder skeleton. The pre-punched parts sure speeds up the process! The only issue I found was drilling the 6T4-6 rib (bottom of the rudder) via the pre-punch holes. Using a standard drill, you would have had to bend the rib to use the holes as guides. Fortunately, I had my handy right angle drill attachment that I used to build the RV, so I was able to proceed with no problems.I have decided to use zinc chromate primer. I have two spray cans that I bought a few months back. CanZac recommends against using the spray for safety reasons and to just buy a quart and brush it on. Since I have a full face mask I will use of the spray first and then move to the brushing. I am only putting primer on the surfaces where parts contact each other to keep the weight down. While waiting for the primer to dry I made the 6T4-3 upper bearings
The first cuts!
