Brief Description:  Left Elevator

Today I wnet out to my wood shop and built a cradle that would support the trim tab during the final riveting on the top of tab. I lined the edge with some foam padding I had and it worked out real nice. I finished riveting the trim tab hinge to spar. Checked for twist in the trailing edge of trim tab and it looked good so I countersinked the holes for the trim tab ends and riveted them into place. Riveted the tabs on the elevator and then riveted the forward portion of the trim tab hinge to elevator. The fit turned out great.
I then set out to roll the leading edge and with a minimal amount of manipulation I was able to get it clecoed, drilled and riveted with a clean roll. It turned out better that the right elevator edge. Once that was in place I installed the hinge bolts into place and set them per plans (13/16 of an inch)
The next step in the process will be to fit the elevators to the horizantial stabilizer which will require some trimming the ends of the horizantial stabilizer skins where the counterbalance will swing a well as trimming the HS606PP spart so the elevator horns will have full travel.
