Today I had some extra time so I got to work riveting the E609 elevator horn to the spar and E709 rib. I riveted the E713 to the E701 skin and then worked on fabricating the counter balance weight. This was more difficut that I had imagined but I was able to get it fitted according to the plans. I partially attached the counterbalnce weight to the E713 skin and then slipped the elevator assembly into place and spent some time modifying the fiberglass tips. Once the tip was fitted, I cleaned up the work area and called it a night. The plans call for rolling the leading edge of the elevators later so I will move on to building the left elevator and trim tab next.
