Drawing the fuselage plans onto the table began with a nail at the very end of the tail. A centreline was marked up the middle and a string line pulled tight to the 'station 3' nails, 24" apart. This becomes the lower longerons, permanent marker notes their centrelines.
Routed into the straight edge on the side of the bench 1/2" & 5/8" channels that when laying tube inside makes marking the centers very easy for cutting and welding alignment.
Tubes are held in place with the timber blocks and wedges of steel cut out along the centreline so the tail can meet and be ready for welding.
