Brief Description:  Vertical Stabilizer

Finished touching up the deburring on a few parts. Still haven't deburred the edge of the skin, I will leave this till after the skin is drilled, deburred, and dimpled. That will be a lot of handling and minor dings/nicks to the edge will probably happen during that process.

I read the interesting caveat on Tim Olson's web site about the VS nose ribs being a little long, so that the skin will get dented outward during assembly if you force the ribs into place. I ground down the nose ribs to prevent this happening, and the fit came out quite nice. Unfortunately, the middle nose rib got ground down too far and didn't leave enough of a margin for the end rivet. I reordered that rib and got it a couple days later. It was only five bucks to replace, and a lesson learned about paying attention to what I'm doing. I used the bad rib for the assembly in these photos, I will match drill all the holes except for that rib, then disassemble to the point I can replace the rib, then cleco the rib and forward spar back into place and drill.
