Fabricated an elliptical flange to use as the output from the evaporator faceplate. I gave up on this idea since even though the perimeter of the flange is a good match to the inside perimeter of the 3" scat tube, it will be very difficult to make the connection once the evaporater is in place as the scat tube is quite stiff and there will only be a short piece.
