Spent all morning putting the weldments in. On a few Builder's web pages I saw some had trouble with fitting them. Mine fit perfectly, but still a challenge getting all the bolts in and torqued up. Also match drilled the axles to the weldment with a 5/16" bit. Couldn't get a 0.311" bit in Augusta. Went down to the beach for lunch with Janice. Didn't see any whales but plenty on the whale boat tour did. Beautiful day!! Thought I should finish off a few jobs, so I painted the front centre covers in Silver Hammer finish. I think it looks OK. Will try a few other colours as well. Fitted the covers after installing all the platenuts. Fabricrated and fitted the centre support bracket for the rudder pedals, drilled and primed it. Drilled and cut the nylon bushing as well. Riveted the baggage section rear panels and floor. Was holding back to see if I wanted to run any wires under there, but I am confident that I can get any wiring into the centre tunnel.
