Brief Description: Installed oil door in top cowling
Installed oil door in top cowling as follows:
1. Laid out holes for new hinge assembly received from NonStop Aviation.
2. Drilled holes to #40, then #30. Enlarged holes in stationary half of hinge to accommodate #8 machine screws.
3. Prepped and primed aluminum parts.
4. Riveted fastener receptacles to frame. Riveted frame to top cowling. Riveted door to hinge using 4 Avex rivets. Filled the four 3/32 holes from the factory with 40APR1/8 rivets.
5. Attached door assembly to top cowling using stainless hardware, including high temp nuts. Southco fastener stud will wait on rubber washers on order.
