Brief Description: Mounted oil tank, oil vent, and fuel drains
Installed oil tank and fabricated / installed oil vent and fuel drains as follows:
1. Attached oil tank to firewall mount using worm clams provide with Rans FWF kit.
2. Fabricated a bracket from aluminum angle and attached to the RH side of the firewall flange using AAPQ-42 rivets.
3. Removed one firewall rivet from the RH firewall seam, enlarged hole to 3/16", and inserted AN3 hardware.
4. Attached 1/4" aluminum tube using AN742-D4 clamps to serve as the RH airbox and carb drip tray drain.
5. Ground an angle on the mouth of the oil vent tube and performed two 45 degree bends. Removed a firewall rivet and enlarged hole to 3/16". Attached the oil vent tube using AN3 hardware.
6. Temporarily connected oil tank vent to vent tube using provided medium temperature tubing. Replaced LH battery box bolts with longer ones and attached Adel clamps to hold oil vent hose.
7. Fabricated a similar aluminum angle bracket for the LH side and attached a 1/4" tube to serve as the LH airbox and carb drip tray drain.
