1. Fitted the previously fabricated mount to the front side of the main spar just inside of rib #11. This location enabled drilling of the lower stressed outboard spar and proximity to the existing inspection hole on the lower aft skin and the lightening hole in the main spar. The orginal plan was to use the existing holes in the main spar for the factory pitot tube. However, the oval inspection plate in the leading edge skin at this location will interfere with the streamline tubing.
2 .Drilled 2 mounting holes for the #8 machine screws to attach to the spar.
3. Fabricated a matching template for cutting the opening in the leading edge skin after dissassembly for final prep.
4. Test fitted the pitot / AOA probe, bending curves in the air lines to facilitate plumbing through the inspection hole during final assembly.
5. Removed probe and mount for final prep.
