Brief Description: LH wing final assembly - top skin riveting
Riveted top skin on LH wing per Rans construction manuals, with the following alterations / corrections:
1. Used CCPQ-43 rivets along the main spar across the span of Ribs 1 & 4, adding 10 more of these rivets instead of the AAPQ-43 rivets specified.
2. Used AAPQ-43 rivets along the main spar from Rib 4 across the remainder of the tank bay (Rib 7), adding 13 more of these rivets instead of the AVEX rivets specified.
3. On the wing walk skin, the 99 rivets were specified as all AAPQ-43. However, these are too long for most of the locations. I wound up using the following rivets for this skin: a. AAPQ-43 rivets along the rear spar b. AAPQ-42 rivets along the rib lines c. AAPQ-41 rivets where the wing walk skin only attaches to the the top wing skin
