Started getting the tires together. My mains are going to be Aeroclassic 21x8x6 tundra tires and they're tubeless. BTW I exchanged all my 5' rims with Zenith for 6" rims.
So I got the rims together around the tire. Making sure the red dot is lined up with the valve stem. I coated each mating part of the rims in the area where the O ring will go with plumbers silicone grease. I coated the sides of the tire holes and the edges of the rims that will meeet the tire. I gooped up the O ring and slid it into place...I then further gooped it with the grease. You need to goop to get an airtight seal. I used a cargo strap around the circumference of the tire and tightened until the holes in the tire were meeting the rim, then I filled it with air and eureka, the sides of the tire expanded and sealed on the rim. I filled to 15 psi and will make several checks to see that it holds.
