It took a lot of pressing, smoothing, manipulating and a couple nicks and tucks here and there to get the heat shield stuck down. I started with 4 sections, but ended up cutting the bottom section at the landing gear slot to help get it to lay down better. I also used my fiberglass squeegee to help smooth it out. Anywhere I had to make a cut I came back and added strips to fill in the gaps. Once it was all down I applied epoxy around the edges.
