Brief Description: Cut out oil door and access hole (38-07)
I used the dremel to cut the oil door out and also to get within a ~1/16” of the scribe lines on the cowling. I then used some 80 grit sand paper to sand it down to the scribe line. I followed up with some 120 and 400 grit on the edges to smooth it out. I’m planning on painting the inside of the door and hinge with some high temp rattle can spray…same color as some of the other parts in the engine compartment. I also checked the fit and the corners of the door were a little shaper than the recess in the cowling so I increased the radius on the door corners.
