Spent some time today sanding down the slop on the pax side. Got it to a rough position and put on a layer of fairing compound. Once this sets I can sand it smooth and set the final gap. From there it will be another one or two iterations of fairing compound to finish the door off. Once I had the pax side coated again I switched my focus to the pilot side. I sended the door down again until I had a nice gap exposed all the way around and proceeded to fill it with flox just like the pax side. This pilot side is a little stiffer fit with some additional gaps and the door isn't quite flush so it will take a bit more to fair into the top. I also had to adjust the door blocks in addition to needing to sand them down for the final fit. They are probably about an 1/8th inch too thick.
