Brief Description: Layout and cut Access Panel
|
|
Today, I did the layout for the access panel that will exist between the left main tank and the left auxillary tank. This is the area where the plumbing and auxillary transfer pump will live, so access is required. Since this is the left wing, there might also be a stall warn microswitch assembly in here as well. I plan to have angle of attack (AOA) on this bird, so I haven't yet decided whether to install the stall horn. I will likely assemble it and prepare the nutplates, so I can decide later whether to install it or not. Anyway, the access panels on both the left and right wing must be cut into the wing skin. First, the hole has to be laid out properly, with all the rivet holes measured and marked. Then, the cutting can begin.
