Brief Description:  Fabricating Capacitance Fuel Sender Plates

So, my capacitance sender kits finally arrived. I ordered the kits that Vans sells for the RV-9. Although the kit comes with all the hardware, wiring and capacitor plates, the plates are too small to be used in the RV-10 tanks. So I also ordered some 9" by 9" sheets of AlClad aluminum stock, which Vans also sells. I then fabricated plates that matched the interior dimensions of the RV-10's tank ribs. Once I had one made, it became my template to make the others. Then I took the whole stack, clamped it together and fine-tuned the cutouts so they matched. I also put the block in my drill press to match-drill the three holes that will mount each plate to the interior tank ribs. All the rest of the hardware in the Cap sender kits is still usable, so it's worth it to order them from Vans, in my opinion.
