Brief Description:  Air Line Regulators

When Aneta and I did the EAA Workshop at Redstone College, we remarked how nicely their tables were setup. Air was supplied to each of the many tables, then there were shorter hoses that hooked to the main and supplied air for each student. I thought this would be a great addition to my tables. This way, I'd have air for two tools at a time, or two people could work at the same time. The main hose comes in with a higher pressure, directly from the compressor (say 120 psi), then the regulators at the tables step it down to 90 psi for the whips (red hoses). I found this setup works much better when multiple tools are working. The whips are 5 feet long and have swivels on the ends to allow the hose to stay untangled and out of the way. The whips are lightweight too, so handling the tools becomes a little easier. Each of them has a rapid disconnect, so I can replace one or both of them with longer hoses if needed. The second set of gauges you see are what I thought were regulators too, but they are really just shut-off valves with really small dials that don't really allow good air regulation. I'm not happy with these and I'm thinking of replacing them with simple shut-off handles per Aneta's suggestion.
