Brief Description:  Sanding, finishing Door Jambs

Tonight, I worked on the door jambs again, sanding and blocking the areas where I added resin and flox mix to prepare the edge for the McMaster Carr door seals. I was able to get most of it nicely prepped, but there were some areas in the corners where air managed to collect in the strip of weather seal that I was using to form up the fiberglass. So, it left behind areas that were too low and not nicely radiused at the corners of the jambs. I filled those in again, using the same technique - filling the weather stripping gutter with the resin/flox/cabosil mixture, then pressing it firmly in place until some came out the sides. This should be the last time I'll need to mess with the door jamb edges. Seems silly to spend all this time to get a smooth, consistent edge, when it will just be covered up by the weather stripping. However, I feel like it's important to have good grip all the way around the jamb, as this will promote a good seal.
