Brief Description: Riveting the Aileron Trailing Edges
Tonight, I finished up the trailing edges of both ailerons. The second step to Double flush riveting is to smash the shop head flat into the dimple of the skin on the other side (opposite the flush factory head), leaving you with a double flush rivet. Since the rivets are already initially set, using the squeezer, the last part becomes easy. I put the factory head side on a back-riveting plate, then use the rivet gun with a flush, swivel set to drive the shop head into the dimple. The ailerons came out perfectly straight, so I''m a happy camper.
