Brief Description: Airventure 2013

Today I left for Oshkosh, WI to attend EAA's Airventure 2013 for the entire week. It was a great time, as always. Weather was absolutely perfect. Big thanks to Jeff for hosting me again this year, and for teking me for a ride in his stepdad's Piper Cherokee 180. I spent quite a lot of time in the Forums this year, attending workshops and lectures on everything from electrical systems design to engine care and maintenance. I also attended several Vans Aircraft get togethers, including the Vans Social and the RV-10 Builders BBQ. I was lucky enough to be able to stay with Brian in his comfortable RV camper this year, and let me tell you, it sure beats tent camping! Also, for the first time, Brian and I participated in the 5K Runway Run held on the last Saturday of the show. Another first, for me, was to take a ride in the Ford Tri-motor, an old commercial transport from the early 1900s.
