Brief Description: Begin engine disassembly (1 of 3)
2.5 hours tonight.
Took apart everything I could, short of splitting the case. Before I do that I have to get the gland nut off.
The other two cylinders 3 & 4 were even worse than the first two! The Nickasil was still intact at the cylinder wall, but the softer aluminum of the outer cylinder collapsed under the copper head gasket.
Tomorrow I will go for getting the case split and having a look at how the inner bearings made out.
