I designed and made an attachment plate for the Aircraft Spruce pitot/static assembly. This may or may not be the way others have done it.
- The plate has a large hole for the small round collar of the assembly to fit into. - The plate gets fastened to the large collar with bolts and lock nuts (not shown). - The plate has 4 anchor nuts on the back side, set with small countersunk rivets. - When inserted thru the wing skin, the plate will be held in place (inside the wing) with 4 countersunk screws, into the anchor nuts.
The A/C Spruce pitot/static assembly, with my pattern.
All of this, including the plate, will be inside the wing.
The flip side. The plate will be inside the wing. The round collar is all that will go thru the wing.
