Brief Description: Plumbing & replumbing pitot/AOA (1 of 2)
I had previously plumbed the pitot/AOA using 90 deg fittings. Seemed like an excellent idea at the time.
But I soon realized that I could not get the 90 deg fittings in and out of the pitot mast. This not only matters if I have to replace the heated pitot assembly, but it also meant I could not even install it in the wing. Since the bottom skin is not attached, yet, I would have to feed the pitot assembly through the skin. In the photo below you can see it won't fit.
So I went with the straight fittings that came with the install kit.
