With the firewall now in place and secured.... I removed the F-972 bottom skin to cut the holes for the landing gear. There is a full size templet on drawing # 34A. I hated the idea of cutting my plans completely up, so I simplely cut the "ko;le" out with an exacto knife and cleco'd the entire plan sheet to the bottom skin. Marked the skin and used a 1 1/2" holesaw to open up the center. Then, a die grinder with a "Burr" to enlarge the hole to the proper size and shape.
