Brief Description:  Work on Spinner and Cowling

47-06: Riveted the S-1202B Backing Plates to the S-1202C Gap Fillers and then riveted the fillers to the S-1202 Spinner Plate. Bolted the spinner plate and the hub mount half to the prop shaft. Clecoed the spinner to the spinner plate so I can make adjustments to the cowling. In a previous entry I noted thtat the spinner was too close (and touching) the front of the cowl. I emailed Van's Tech Support and they said it was OK to trim the cowl some more (beyond the scribe lines) to create the necessary gap between the spinner and the cowl.

38-06: Went back to Section 38 to work on the cowling. Sanded away a good part from the aft edges of the bottom and top cowls and little from the left side of the bottom cowl. Had to drill new holes in the Top Cowl above the F-1201K and F-1201J Upper Cowl Hinges. Also drilled new holes in the Bottom Cowl opposite the F-12116 Mid Cowl Hinges and the F-12117 Lower Cowl Hinges. After verifying the fit of the cowls, drilled holes through the sides of the top cowl into the F-12115 Side Hinges. I'll need to cover the old holes in the cowls with epoxy later.
