Brief Description: Updated Aux Music Jack wires, place upholstery
31B-07: Changed the wires in the ES-00045 Molex plug of the Aux Music jack. I think the other end of the wire that goes to position 4 is supposed to attach to the metal sheath of the shielded wire. Therefore, I got solder sleeve connectors from Aircraft Spruce and put one end of the wire in the solder sleeve and “soldered” with a heat gun. Used new pins and a new Molex plug.
PAP G1-1: Tested the GTR 200 radio again and it is working OK except for buzzing in the background which I’ll troubleshoot later.
Took the RV-12 upholstery from the box and started installing it. After a trial fit of the pieces in the baggage compartment I decided to postpone installing the pieces that will cover the inspection panels and the Baggage Bulkhead Corrugation until after inspection by a DAR. I did place the Fuselage Sidewall Panels and they look nice. Also installed the carpet below the rudder pedals. They don’t have Velcro tape attached and will probably be secured by the other pieces.
My application for aircraft registration was returned by the FAA because I did not print my name under my signature.
