Brief Description: Looking for source of short circuit
Removed the paint under the control module and around the screw holes in the Panel Base to see if better grounding of the control module will resolve the short. Re-installed the Control Module and connected the Switches, Ignition, Fuselage, Options and EFIS harnesses. Turned the Master Switch ON and then the Nav/Strobe switch. The Nav/Strobe fuse blew again. Pin 1 in the Switches receptacle is again showing continuity. The short may be from one of the connections to the Control Module. Removed the d-sub connectors from the Control Module one by one while testing Pin 1 (Switches receptacle) for continuity. Continuity in Pin 1 disappears when the Options d-sub is not connected to the Control Module. Tested the pins in the Options d-sub connector and there is continuity in pin 34 and pin 37 (Audio Ground). Will review the wiring schematic again and trace the wires going to the Option harness.
Remove the vinyl protective film from the Vertical Stabilizer.
