Brief Description:  Tested wiring to look for source of short circuit

PAP G1-1 and 42M: Still working on troubleshooting the short in the Nav/Strobe Power switch. I removed wire RZ944 from position 28 (Audio Grd) of the EFIS D-sub connector to see if this was the cause of the short. It was not. RZ944 inserted to a ground connection in the old harness but that position is occupied in the SV-AP Knob Autopilot harness so I inserted it in an open ground pin in the EFIS connector.

Pin 1 in the Switches receptacle in the Control Module is indicating a short (continuity) and it is not a ground wire. Pin 19 is showing continuity and it is a Ground. Checked the EMS Module and Transponder and the results are: The 37-pin receptacle in the EMS 220 showed continuity in pins 3, 5, 13, 16, 17 and 30. The EMS connector that goes to the EFIS connector is OK.

45A-04: The EGT receptacle in the EMS Module is OK. All the EGT pins (11, 13, 23, 25) that go to the EMS 220 have continuity. The wires all go through the Firewall. In the 9-pin receptacle at the right side of the EMS 220 Module there is continuity with Pins 2 and 3. The 9-pin connector is OK. Wires from the connector go to the EFIS connector to the Control Module and back to the SV-1000.

The XPDR connector that goes to the XPDR Module has Pin 14 showing continuity. The receptacle in the XPDR module is OK. The XPDR 9-pin d-sub connector that goes to the Control Module has pin 9 showing continuity. The receptacle in the Control Module is OK.
