Brief Description: Installed Canopy, Skirts, Guide Plates & Latch Han
Bolted the C-1216 Gas Struts to the Canopy Frame and then bolted the Frame to the Fuselage. Riveted the C-1215 Latch Handle Stop to the Frame. Placed plastic nylon washers inboard of the Canopy Frame at the pivot point to have better clearance from the Upper Fwd Fuselage Skin. Final-drilled #27 the canopy holes and machine countersunk the forward holes. Riveted the C-1206 Guide Plates to the Canopy Frame.
Riveted the C-1202 Canopy Skirts to the Frame including the C-1210 lift Handles. Screwed the canopy to the frame per the plans. Riveted the forward part of the canopy to the forward bow of the frame. Cut the 2 most aft screws to have only 2 threads protruding beyond the nuts to avoid interference with the guide blocks on the fwd part of the roll bar when opening and closing the canopy. I have difficulty rotating (opening) the canopy. Something is catching but not sure where it is coming from. Will check tomorrow
