32-03. Reinstalled the W-1216 Pushrod Assembly to the Flap Handle after the latter was powder-coated (commercially). Inspected the fuel lines below where the Flap Handle Assembly is located and noted that they have dents – likely from interference from the flap handle. I had pushed the lines downward before to create a “bend” but the lines still got dented. I’ll need to replace at least the main fuel line which has a significant dent.
31A-02 to 31A-04. Started work on the Wing Electrical Interconnection Update. Unscrewed the W-1205 Terminal Brackets from the wings and then removed the ring terminals from the wires and replaced with Floating Connectors Pins. Drilled holes in the W-1208 Nose Ribs using the Wing Electrical Template as a guide and deburred the holes. Made two WH-B203 Strobe Power Wires and two WH-B318 Strobe Sync Wires, and crimped pins to one end of each wire. Removed the wingtip lights to use the fishing line I had stringed thru the wing ribs before the skins were riveted to pull new wires. To my disappointment, I had taped the lines to the outboard ribs which can’t be reached from the small hole in the W-1222 Extensions. I’ll need to think this over and find a way on how to retrieve the string or find another way to put wires from the wing root to the wing tip. This will be a lot more work than I’ve anticipated.
