Brief Description: Installed fittings to brake lines
Back to Section 27, Rudder Pedal and Brake System. In a previous step I had placed the Main Brake Lines (F-1289C) in the wrong holes. I removed the fittings at the forward ends by cutting the lines just behind the sleeves. Reposition the lines and started putting new fittings upon arrival of the parts I ordered from Van's. One brass insert easily went into the high pressure tubing. The other one was difficult. I did mulitple soaks in boiling waste and several attempts to put the insert all the way in but was unsuccessful. I'll have to take a break and try this again later.
