Brief Description: TC Fairing work and installed Brake Reservoir
Installed the Upper and Lower Tail Cone Fairings and then checked the clearance with the Trim/Servo Assembly in the fully retracted and fully extended positions. Had to trim the fairings to have sufficient clearance between the pushrod and the right edge of the hole in the Lower TC Fairing. Also had to enlarge the ¾ inch hole to allow full bending of the joint between the F-1287C Link and the rest of the Pushrod Assembly. Will not connect the Tail Cone wiring yet since, I think, there is an upgrade to the TC wiring and may decide to do the upgrade now.
Section 32-02 Was going to bolt the VA-107 Brake Reservoir to the Firewall Upper and realized that I have not installed nutplates on the other side of the Firewall. Had to go back to Page 29-04 to see what I missed. Riveted the 3 nutplates that I missed to install in that section. Bolted the Brake Reservoir and attached the Nylon Tee to it. Connected the Left and Right Brake Reservoir Lines to the Nylon T. Collected the hardware to attach the 4 brake lines to the bottom of the Panel Base but will do this step later because I may decide to change the pipe thread sealant that I had used on the fittings.
