Manual Reference:  DAR Inspection
Brief Description:  DAR Inspection

FAA DAR, Lewis Blackwell, came to the inspect the aircraft. He went over the documents and everything was OK. He then inspected the aircraft and was satisfied with the flight control systems. Somehow, the right wing tip light and landing lights (in the right wing) were not working. They were working just a week ago. The floating connections at the wing root may not have seated properly when I pulled the right wing off to work on the hole in the right corner baggage skin last weekend. Started the engine for the DAR, taxied the plane and checked the brakes. He also checked the instrumentation. All were functioning properly. He issued me the airplane's FAA Form 8130-7 ("Pink Slip"). The airplane is now legal to fly!

After the inspection I pulled the right wing off and after re-installation the right wing tip lights and landing lights were working again. Removed the seats and seat backs to final install the Velcro strips and floor carpeting. Re-installed the map pocket over the carpet and tunnel cover. Replaced the AN4-4A bolts that were placed to cover the holes where the voltage regulator was originally located with AN4-3A. I'm trying to reduce weight in the airplane, however small, whenever possible.
