Purchased tihe SV ADS-B upgrade kit and started its installation. I figured it would be easier to install it now while the plane is not yet completed and the Tailcone is still not attached. I tried to remove the F-1240 Upper Fwd Fuselage Skin without unbolting the Canopy Frame and found out that this was not possible. The side edges of the skin would bulge outward once the screws are removed preventing the forward rotation (opening) of the canopy. Eventually, I had to remove the Canopy Frame so I could unscrew the Upper Fwd Fuse Skin. Spent a lot of time with this process. Drilled holes in the Panel Base and F-1204A and F-1204D Bulkheads, and placed snap bushings in the holes. Separated the F-00045 ADS-B Brackets and the F-00020 Antenna Doublers. Match-drilled holes into the inboard flange of the F-1207D-L Bulkhead Channel through the F-1016HX Guide Bracket. Countersunk the rivet attach holes in the F-00045 ADS-B Brackets. Bent the flanges of the F-00049 Wire Cover Plate. Deburred the holes and the hardware. Primed the above hardware including the F-00050 Wire Routing Bracket.
