Brief Description:  Gerry came over today to check out my tail kit and

No pictures, but a good day none the less. My neighbor Gerry Rueske (guessed at the spelling) stopped by to check out the tail kit and my tools. Gerry is a wealth of knowledge about all things that fly. He was in the Air Force and then worked as a contractor servicing ejection seats on the US military's fighters through out the country. After that he got in to the hobby store business and is a master craftsman at building remote control airplanes. He also used to race dragsters that he built himself and most importantly, as far as my project is concerned, he has built or restored several aircraft including a Spacewalker, RV-4, and hybrid Harmon Rocket called the "Mystery Rocket" which he sold last year to an F-16 driver in Tennessee I believe. That is a beautiful plane and is quite the performer.

He thought the kit looked great and has had many improvements since he built his RV-4 and Rocket which is based on the RV-4 airframe with a much bigger engine and many, many modifications. He showed me some different tricks he has picked up and demonstrated the "back riveting" technique. This produces great results and will be used alot on the skins. I have been lucky in life to meet some real experts in their particular field and Gerry is definately a homebuilder expert.
