Brief Description: Clecoed and match drilled left elevator skeleton.
Tonight I worked on the left elevator with some help from Tanner and Colten's good friend Joey. Joey seems mechanically inclined and has an interest in the project whenever he visits.
We were able to get the skeleton clecoed and match drilled and then did the same to the skin. This part of the process goes quick and visible progress is immediate, but the deburring and prep takes a long time to get it back to this appearance and ready for riveting. I am getting used to this cycle.
The left elevator is pretty much the same as the right one except for one sizable difference, it has a trim tab. The trim tab is troublesome for a lot of builders, hopefully mine will go well with some help from Gerry and Donnie when I get to it.
