I managed to purchase a second hand MGL Odyseey G1 EFIS system with RADC engine monitor, compass and AHRS module at a very reasonable price. I had earlier decided the MGL eXtreme EFIS would do the job at a reasonable price point. The job is primary flight instruments but the requirement is drive from an engine monitoring need. While the Odyssey G1 is few years old and about 3 versions behind the current it has all the functioanlit of the very much smaller and simpler eXtreme. Anyway after much chanigng of mind I went with the cheaper larger older option. Much like me :)
Best thing was it worked when I tunred it on and I am starting to understand how to set it up and use it.
